Danvantari is the God of Ayurveda, He is a manifestation of Lord Vishnu governing the origin and practice of Ayurvedic medicine. He holds the conch shell of Vishnu, a jar of Amrita and nectar of immortality, a sacred, healing Ayurvedic herb, Myrobalan, or Soma, and the pages of the sacred texts of Ayurveda itself.
